My clients are saying they have problems picking out pictures from their sessions because they like them all.  But most people don’t want to put 35, or so, pictures on a wall. So recently I sat down and made sure all of my templates were made available in my photo cart.

It makes it very easy for my clients to pick one and then add on which photos they want to use, and then place the order, along with their other prints. Without having to email me back and forth!   I love this process, and the past two days, I sold FIVE 10×20 collages.   They do take about an hour to put together, but I don’t charge extra for it.  In general, I avoid “extra fees” because it makes life more complicated, and I don’t think we need more of that.

The newest thing: Trash-the-prom dress sessions!

I am sure many of you have heard of the trash-the-wedding dress, which basically is a very creative and fun session where the bride plays around in her dress, in an  urban setting or at the beach…as in laying on the beach..in the water!

Anyway,  we can do a similar thing with the prom dress as well!   Talk about getting unique pictures to show your friends!

Product changes

My previous price table didn’t work out so well for me, in other words, it wasn’t profitable.  I provide to my clients excellent service and attention to details, and deliver Fine art portraiture, which I love doing!    Keep in mind, that I spend about on average 15-20 hours on each client, sometimes even more.

My session fee is still only $100, at least for the rest of the year.   4 x 6 prints won’t be available a la carte anymore, but you can still get a few poses in 4 x 6 by purchasing one of my pre-made collections.  I also raised the price on the 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 but I am keeping the wall prints current prices.

You are also always welcome to purchase all the digital high resolution files of all the proofs, which gives you an incredibly freedom!

Price changes of 2009 – prints cost less but you’ll still recieve first-class service and quality.

Winter is always slow for portrait sessions but I’m still lowering my prices for the remainer of 2009.   Make no mistake though – custom portrait photography will always cost more than a 15 minute Wal-Mart or Sear session.

Proof books

Finally!  All pictures are now available from your session!

I offer proof books to my clients at a cost of $70 or as a complimentary when you spend over $400 either al a carte or by purchasing a collection.

Proofs books are great to see how your photos will actually look printed, and they will be numbered for the convenience of ordering. The pictures are printed on actual archival professional photo paper.

These are complimentary to the online gallery proofing, which can be sometimes difficult for people to appreciate fully, especially when most of our web browsers and monitors are all so different.

Holiday deadline: December 7th

If you plan to book a holiday sitting with me, I won’t be able to do any after Dec. 7th.  So now would be a pretty good time to book    I have a few booked already so get in contact with me regarding availability before it’s too late.

50 postcards with one or a few photos from your session on a specified Christmas card design, will cost $80.

If you go back in my blog, you will be able to find a few different card design to pick between. Remember, only one can be used for your photo/photos.
