It’s almost Christmas….. Santa is going to put some packages under our tree while the children are sleeping. We can’t wait to see them unwrap their gifts.

Me and the kids and a couple of friends were enjoying Saturday by first  watching the Morehead City Christmas Parade and then later a Marine Lab Christmas party.

Seeking a 2010 High School Senior representatives!

I’m looking for an outgoing Junior girl to be  a Senior representative each from; West Carteret High School, East Carteret High School, Croatan High School and Havelock  High School. Ease in front of a camera is a must, as you would be my main model for creative Senior photographs!

You will be responsible with handing out your rep cards to your friends and family and you’ll earn free:

• one free session
• one free 8×10
• free rep cards with image from session
• 5 free web files for use on Facebook, Myspace etc.
• earn one free 5×7 per booked referral

With creative I mean you will be able to wear what you want, and go to the location of choice, whether you’d want an Urban catalog style shoot or a more romantic session at the beach, or even both.   I want to create beautiful and modern photos with the current style as seen in magazines.

Proof books

Finally!  All pictures are now available from your session!

I offer proof books to my clients at a cost of $70 or as a complimentary when you spend over $400 either al a carte or by purchasing a collection.

Proofs books are great to see how your photos will actually look printed, and they will be numbered for the convenience of ordering. The pictures are printed on actual archival professional photo paper.

These are complimentary to the online gallery proofing, which can be sometimes difficult for people to appreciate fully, especially when most of our web browsers and monitors are all so different.

What’s going on with Linda?

I know I’m rather quiet nowadays but there’s so many things going on.  We’re now in a bidding duel with yet another house since we gave up on the other one from a few months back.  This time we’re bidding on a house that has enough space that even my equipment could find some space.  LOL

I am in the process of purchasing more props and items, especially for newborns since I have a few of those coming up.   More equipment is shifting hands and I’m giving up the “Beast”  Nikon 28-70mm f2.8 for a 85mm f1.4 and a 50mm f1.4.   I like prime lenses, the quality is outstanding but I also feel more creative with prime lenses not to mention they’re lighter and easier to handle.  Zoom lenses has it’s place but when I want to create art, I reach for primes.   

I also recently purchased a set of Umbrellas and they are producing really nice lighting but I need more practice with them.   

So…stay tuned, hopefully I will see some of these lenses at the end of this week or at least the beginning of the next.
