Congratulations to my dad!

My father quit is job as a project-leader/engineer where he had worked for 35 years last year. They sold their house and moved to a complete new area near the Swedish coast-line. My dad and his wife bought a really large and old house and my dad fixed it up while he was un-employed. But finally he got a new job as a project-leader at a similar company near where he now lives. Congratulations! I’m proud of him. Not bad for someone that is about to retire in 9 years! They took a risk but moved to an area where they are happier at.

Sounds familiar…. :D

Reforming my price structure!

I’m going to reform my price structure by actually lower my prices, while many
other businesses increase their pricing during an economic strain. But I am going to have to charge extra for travels that extend 20 miles of my own location. My session fee include the travel to and from any location within 20 miles of Morehead City, and also time and talent. I’m currently only offering on-location sittings, with minimal posing but lots of fun and natural looks!

Also my print prices will be taking quite the dip, but without any cuts in quality. I’m still using the same pro lab especially for licensed photographers. However, I’ll be cutting down on fancy packaging and will charge extra for shipping to client’s address.

Please get in contact with my from my website www.lindazelnio.com for more information regarding my price changes. Thank you!

Some recent photos

We have been very busy with house hunting and bidding for a house, but they weren’t too willing to work with what we could, so we are going to continue looking.  The house would require a lot of work, so maybe it is all for the better.  But that doesn’t stop my kids from having fun!

Whew! house hunting is exhausting!

As you may have noticed, there’s not much going on right now with the blog.   I have been looking at houses with my two toddlers, up to 20 houses the past 5 days.  I’m really quite exhausted, nearly every house has some toys or cars in them and my son breaks down in a meltdown just about every house as we see, with all these temptations around him.

Poor thing is a bit overwhelmed, but we don’t know anyone here to leave him at while house-hunting. My 16 month old daughter is a bit easier, but I need to carry her all this time.

So far, we haven’t really found anything that says “Buy Me!” on it.  We’re looking for something with a mature backyard, private but not far away from everything.  Reasonable well taken care of but with a bit of character.  They say the house market is good now for buyers, but yet we keep seeing over-priced houses that are obviously fixer-ups.

So…I’m still looking.

Also, I’ll be printing some gift certificates to be handed out at a local Fall Festival, so that more families will have a chance to get quality, heirloom custom pictures of their kids and families.
