While I’m waiting….
… I’m editing some photos. Here’s a portrait you haven’t seen from me before. I know, it’s a cat. But hey, pets are family members too!

I have great news…I just ordered the new Nikon D300 which has amazing reviews. I am so excited, and can’t wait to try it out on my clients and friends.
Newborns
Time to visit some in-laws! I’ll be gone between March 9-12th.
Good to know – Expensive?
I belong to a couple of different online photo forums and one member wrote up an article on Why are Professional Photographers Expensive. A great read whether you’re a photographer or not! But they forgot to mention that Photographers has to pay for College, food, mortgages, gear, and retirement too.
Color Management
My monitor is calibrated, meaning I am not using the color profiles that came with the computer. These are usually too blue and flat. In other words – you and I are not seeing the same colors and contrast of the same photo posted on the web. Since my monitor is calibrated and I also have a color profile from the printing lab that I use – the prints looks perfect. If you know how to at least set gamma and temperature on your monitor it should be Gamma 2.2 and 6500Kalvin for temp.Unfortunately, things doesn’t stop there. Depending on what browser you use as well will change how you see things. Safari seem to be at the moment the only browser that support color managed photos. The image to the left is what I would consider “good color” and would go to the print.
Click on the photo, it’s less blurry that way.
Senior models wanted
I need some cute faces for my portfolio, male and female, could bring your pet too. Must be in Senior high school age. I am available day-time only and in the State College area. Your images will be presented in a gallery which you can share with your friends and family and place some orders for prints if you like any.
